Combining elements of opera, Broadway musical and social drama, THE CRADLE WILL ROCK, uses humor, parody and satire to expose the desperation and discontent of its time. As union-organizers gain strength, steel magnate Mr. Mister bribes and coerces businessmen, clergy and the local press to support the steel industry and silence the voice of exploited workers.
