Maren Robinson
Associate Artist
Maren has worked with TimeLine since 2004 and been dramaturg for numerous productions, including THE HISTORY BOYS, NOT ENOUGH AIR, TRUMBO, PARADISE LOST, THE GENERAL FROM AMERICA, COPENHAGEN, PRAVDA, MARTIN FUREY’S SHOT and IT’S ALL TRUE. Around Chicago, she has done dramaturgy for Eclipse, Caffeine, Greasy Joan, City Lit and Camenae theaters. She was also an artistic intern at Steppenwolf Theatre. She has a master’s degree in humanities from the University of Chicago, where she received the Catherine Ham Memorial Award (her thesis was on Peter Brook and Virginia Woolf, with an accompanying original play, ANONYMOUS). She has taught a course at the Newberry Library (small theaters in Chicago), and lectured at the Chicago Public Library (the history of women in theater) and various Chicago colleges (dramaturgy and theater history). Maren trained in both ballet and modern dance and still performs with Luna Troop and Summer is for Fireflies. Maren is a member of the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas.
