An 11-time Joseph Jefferson nominee, he has received seven Citations. Among other theaters, he has worked at The Goodman, Steppenwolf, Theatre at the Center, Buffalo Theatre Ensemble, Provision, Eclipse, American Theater Company and Shattered Globe, where he will direct REQUIEM FOR A HEAVYWEIGHT later this season. He has directed almost 60 plays, among them A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE, THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE, A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, ALL MY SONS, ROCKET TO THE MOON, STALAG 17, WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?, JUDGMENT AT NUREMBERG, MEET JOHN DOE, THE BOYS NEXT DOOR and MARRIAGE PLAY. He received his master of fine arts degree in directing from The Theatre School at DePaul University.
