Elizabeth K. Auman
Managing Director
Elizabeth joined TimeLine in October, following 15 years at Victory Gardens Theater, the last 12 as general manager. During her tenure as general manager, Victory Gardens went from a $1.2 million theater to a two-venue creative campus with a $3 million budget. She helped guide the theater’s systematic growth through major periods of organizational transition, including its recent $11.8 million Expanding Horizons capital campaign and last season’s move to the new mainstage at the Biograph Theater.
Her areas of expertise include operations, finance, fundraising, human resources and box-office management. (She began her career at Victory Gardens in 1992 as assistant box-office manager.) Throughout her tenure at Victory Gardens, she also worked closely with the artists within the organization and with diverse companies whose seasons are produced at what is now called the Victory Gardens Greenhouse Theater. Prior to Victory Gardens, she held various administrative positions at Chicago Shakespeare Theater and the Blackstone Theatre of DePaul University (now the Merle Reskin Theatre).
She has twice served on PACT/Equity negotiation teams and was formerly on the boards of Strawdog Theatre Co. and Step Right Up Productions. She graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington with a bachelor of fine arts degree in theater.
