Edward is delighted to return to TimeLine after directing A Man for All Seasons in 2005. He is the director of new play development at Steppenwolf, where he recently directed The Chosen and A Lesson Before Dying (the latter also at Theater on the Lake). Other recent directing credits include the world premieres of two Brett Neveu plays, Heritage and American Dead, both at American Theater Company; and for Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, SELF DEFENSE or the death of some salesman, Be Aggressive and Faulkner's Bicycle (also at Theater on the Lake). Ed is one of the directors for Chicago Public Radio's Stories On Stage. He holds a master of fine arts degree from Northwestern University. He will direct Laura Eason's adaptation of Huck Finn at Steppenwolf in February.
