Penny Slusher    

Penny is thrilled to be making her debut at TimeLine Theatre. She most recently appeared in RELATIVELY CLOSE at Victory Gardens Theater. She has appeared in several Writers’ Theatre productions, including ANOTHER PART OF THE FOREST (Jeff Award and After Dark Award), BUS STOP and THE SUBJECT WAS ROSES. Court Theatre credits are UNCLE VANYA (After Dark Award), THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST and JAMES JOYCE’S THE DEAD.

Other Chicago credits include THE OUTFIT at Serendipity Theatre, PICNIC (Jeff Citation nomination) and ALL THE WAY HOME at Griffin Theatre and the Jeff Award-winning THE CIDER HOUSE RULES at Famous Door Theater. She also has worked at Steppenwolf and Apple Tree theaters.

Her musical-theater productions around Chicagoland include COUNTESS MARITZA, KISMET, THE 1940s RADIO HOUR, OLIVER! and THE BOYFRIEND.

Her film credits include MEET THE BROWNS, GRACE IS GONE and DEATH OF A PRESIDENT. She is dedicating her performance to the memory of her brother Randy, who was first to make her laugh.
