Brett Neveu

  Brett Neveu
   

Brett was born in California and raised in Iowa. Upcoming productions include The Meek with A Red Orchid Theatre.

Past productions include Heritage and American Dead with American Theater Company, The Earl and 4 Murders with A Red Orchid Theatre, Eric LaRue with the Royal Shakespeare Company (Stratford-upon-Avon and London), Eagle Hills, Eagle Ridge, Eagle Landing and twentyone with Spring Theatreworks (New York) and The Last Barbecue with The Aardvark Theatre and 29th Street Rep (New York). He also has worked with The Playwright's Center in Minneapolis, No Shame Theatre in Iowa City and Chicago, and The New Group and The 42nd Street Workshop in New York.

He is a resident-alum of Chicago Dramatists and an ensemble member of A Red Orchid Theatre. Brett has been commissioned by Steppenwolf Theatre, The Goodman Theatre (Ofner Prize), TimLine Theatre Company and Writers' Theatre. In 2005, he was the recipient of the League of Chicago Theatre's first Emerging Artist Award.

He teaches writing at Northwestern University and lives in Chicago with his wife, artist Kristen Neveu, and new baby daughter, Lia.
